Team Category |
The idea behind the Team category is to allow experienced riders within Clubs to use it as a vehicle to nurture new members, by introducing them to Inter-club racing. The more experienced rider can hold their hand, pass on valuable knowledge to their Team Mate and make the experience more enjoyable and less stressful. Another intend bonus, is that the new rider/s may get to share in some success at the end of the series by being part of the winning team and their only contribution was turning up to every race.
The Team category for the Tour De Riverina is intended to
be a fun thing, with the final result being like a lottery rather than actual
team racing, leave that for the Tour of Two Rivers. It simple, get
together with 3 mates (encompassing new members) and add your points up along
the way to get a winner. The Category is also another opportunity to give
recognition to riders that have gone to all the races together.
You defiantly need to be loyal to your handicap bunch and not be backing people
off because a team mate has got a head start in the bunch in front, very uncool.
The focus should
always be getting to the front of the race before playing games and have all
your team member finish in the top 10, if possible.
